In recent years, great interest has been focused on functional coordination compounds due to their potential applications in biochemical systems and material science.In the work, we have synthesized seventeen coordination compounds of 4,5-Diazafluorene-9-one (AFO). The coordination compounds [Cu(AFO)2(H2O)2](OPA)2 (1), [Cu(AFO)2(H2O)2](OPA)2(2), [Cu3(AFO)6(H2O)6](PF6)6 · (AFO)6 (3) , [Cu2(AFO)(H2O)2 (MPA)2] · AFO · 2H2O (4) have been characterized by X-ray diffraction analyses. Coor dination compounds Cu(AFO)2[N(CN)2]2 · H2O (5), Co(AFO) [N(CN)2]2 · 1/2H2O (6), Ni(AFO)[N(CN)2]2 · l/2H2O(7),[Cu(AFO)(bpe)2] (ClO4)2 · 3CH3OH(8), Cu(AFO)2(CCl3COO)2 · 3H2O(9),Cu(AFO)2(CHCl2COO)2 · H2O(10),Cu(AFO)(C7H4O3S N) · 3/2H2O(11),Cu(AFO)2(C7H4O3SN)2 · 2H2O(12),Cu(AFO)2(SCN)2 (13),,Cu(AFO)2 Cr2O7 · H2O (14),Cu2(AFO)5 (Cr2O7)2 " 3H2O(15), Cu(AFO)2(CH3COO)2 2H2O(16), Cu3(AFO)5 (HCOO)6 · 5H2O(17)have been synthesized and characterized by elementary analyses and IR.
