Abstract:Heavy metal pollution is accumulative, lagging, dormant, and irreversible.whi ch is not easy to decompose in the biology circle and energy exchange.But it is easy to b e accumulated and magnified by food chain .finally poses a threat to mankind's health .S o heavy metal pollution has become one of the environmental problems that should be resolved urgently.At present,among the ways about dealing with heavy metal pollution: phytoremedi ation, which is proposed due to bright future as a cost-effective and green technology. T he method of chelation-adsorption is also a feasible shortcut for expedite and effective in the present condition.In this paper the heavy metal pollution is investigated and assessed in the heavy me tal mining areas of Fujian province,Nanping municipal refuse and landfill site leachat e. Then the filtration of hyperaccumulators was carried out based on the content of he avy metals in plants;the use of chelate agent to reduce the content of the available heav y metals in soil.And the research of activated carbon to absorb the heavy metals in the si mulated polluted water is explored in this paper,too. The main results obtained are summarized as follows:1,The investigation and analysis of soils in the heavy metal mining areas in Fujia n province showed: the soil is mainly polluted by elements of Mn,Zn, Pb,Cd. The c oncentration of Mn,Zn, Pb,Cd may reach 92546mg.kg-1. 27454mg.kg-1,23792 mg. kg-1, 248.19 mg.kg-1.Based on the Environmental quality standard for soils (III), the sin gle factor pollution of Mr,Zn,Pb,Cd in soil are all serious degree according as the p ollution index. The comprehensive pollution degree is serious,too.2,The analysis of the content of the soil and landfill site leachate in Nanping muni cipal refuse indicates :The pollution degree of heavy metals in landfill site has a great so mething to do with the time. The content of heavy metals in municipal refuse of two yea rs' age are 1.46-2.26 times of the content of the comparison. The content of heavy metal s in municipal refuse of ten years' age are 2.76-8.83 times of the content of the comparisi on.The content of the heavy metals in soil influenced by landfill site for two years are 1.12-1.48 times of that of the comparison .And the content of the heavy metals in soil infl uenced by landfill site for ten years are 4.1-9.83 times of that of the comparison. Base d on the Environmental quality standard for soils (II), the single factor pollution of Zn i s light degree in soil influenced by landfill site leachate for two years according as the p ollution index. The comprehensive pollution degree is also slight degree; The single fact or pollution of Zn and Cr is serious in the soil influenced by landfill site leachate for te n years; the comprehensive pollution is serious degree, too.3^ The analysis of the content of the heavy metals landfill site leachate indicates: B ased on Environmental quality standard(GB 3838-88),the content of Zn> Pb^ Cd is beyo nd the standard. Based on integrated wastewater discharge standard(GB-8978-1996), tw o kinds of elements of Zn> Cd exceed the standard.Due to this, it is urgent problem to r emove the heavy metals from the landfill site leachate.4-. In the heavy metal mining areas the content of heavy metals of forty nine ki nds of plants was analyzed: There are five kinds of plants including plantlO* plantl, plant?\ plant9* plant 11 > in the mining area , whose concentration of Pb in their abov e ground tissue may accord with the critical standard of hyperaccumulator.thereinto the c ontent of Pb mplant 10 may reach 1818.4mg.kg"1 in above fronds .The transport coeffic ients of plantlO* plantl, plantll are bigger than 1.Especially the transport coefficients o f plantlO may reach 6.5.Forthermore plantlO may also accumulate Zn and Cd well.S o it has a good Potential to treat the soil contamined by heavy metals. Plant9* plant 11 plantl\ plantl not only may accumulate Pb ,but also may accumulate Mn> Zm Cd,wh ich may also be applied to treat the lighter heavy metal polluted soil.5, Four kinds of different standards of activated carbon is applied to absorb the hea vy metals of the imitated polluted water.The results indicates: Among four kinds of activ ated carbon, the sequence of influence of activated carbon to absorb Cd is B>D>C>A.
