In this paper, the current developments of worldwide coating industries have been expounded. The evolvements and significance of researches on abrasion resistance organosilyl hard coating have been dissertated. Other contents, such as coating composition ,film-forming, coating application, properties testing of coating film, including abrasion resistance, hardness, adhesivity, impingement resistance, corrosion resistance, coating film defect and the avoidance means also have been analysesed.In the experiment part, the reaction theories among film-forming materials, coating additives and solvents have been expounded. Based on this, experiments in coating preparation and properties testing have been made, including solvent selecting and dosage, prescriptions of forming-film materials, crosslinking agent choosing and dosage, catalyst choosing and dosage, curing conditions, abrasion resistance, hardness, et al. Primary conclusions have been educed: solvent prescription, dimethylbenzene 72%, ethanol 25%, acetone 3%; prescriptions of forming-film materials being blend in mass ratio of .1:1, choosing KH-550 as crosslinking agent and the dosage being 1.6 percents of the resin dosage; using boric acid as catalyst and the dosage being 0.08 percents; coating film being cured for one hour at 200 °C. Also there will be some improvement of experiment methods in the future work.
