In this paper, effect of different producing area and particle size of attapulgite (AT) on dispersion of AT in rubber, interfaces of AT-rubber, mechanical properties of AT/SBR were discussed, the results showed that1250 mesh AT from dalian had best reinforcing effect. At the same time, effect of different curing system, modifier types and amounts, rubber matrix on the interface of AT-rubber were study, it was found that, when curing system was sulfur, AT modified with Si69 had the best reinforcing effect, because interface of AT-rubber was best, and optimum amount of Si69 was 2.4 phr/40 AT phr; when curing system was DCP, AT modified with KH570 had the best reinforcing effect, and optimum amount of KH570 was 3 phr/40 AT phr.
