The abnormal underground pressure behavior in fully-mechanized sub-level caving working face is a trans-normally and detrimentally dynamic pressure phenomenon. It is a abnormal underground pressure behavior phenomenon that happens in some special conditions. When mechanical balance of coal and surrounding rock around caving working face is broken, the coal mine safety is seriously threatened. Firstly, the paper based on the fracture and elastic-plastic mechanics, combining the underground pressure theory with the special mining theory closely, establishes every kind of mechanical model on the process of overburden rock failure and analyzing each of them respectively, builds equations under different stations of strata structure and movement style by up-building the model of main roof structure and analyzing it according as the plentiful survey data, and proposes the conditions that are prerequisite when abnormal underground pressure behavior phenomena occur under different stations.Furthermore, making use of ANSYS finite element software and its joint element, studied the effect for different angles and vertical heights of fault at the same geometry factor on the underground pressure in fully-mechanized sub-level caving, and studied it by established the similarity material simulation model. Based on the survey data, numerical simulation, similarity material simulation and achievements about it, used the method of statistical analysis and fuzzy mathematics, the paper gains the new prediction method and formula of the abnormal underground pressure behavior in fully-mechanized sub-level caving working face. The study results can fairly completely interpret the abnormal underground pressure behavior in fully-mechanized sub-level caving working face. The error of it is very small.Finally, the paper regards prediction and prevention as the technological thinking , based on the idea of combining advancing forecast and site control the paper proposes before mining predicting, monitoring in real time to overburden...
