Thermoplastic elastomer polybutene-1 was synthesized with supported titanium catalyst. The effect of aging conditions on conversion and polymer's relative molecular mass, the kinetic of polymerization, the rule of bulk polymerization in 3L autoclave, and the properties of bulk polybutene-1 were studied. The experiments of catalyst aging showed: when supported titanium catalyst was ternary aging at 0 °C, the conversion was improved and the amount of Al(i-Bu)3 was reduced. The optimal aging conditions were Ti/Bt (mol/mol) =1/60 at 0°C aging for 20 minutes. The conversion will increase and then decrease with the increasing of aging time when catalyst was aging at 0°C,but it will decrease with aging time while catalyst was aging at room temperature. The conversion will increase then decrease with the increasing of Al/Ti (mol/mol) , and the increasing of the amount of Bt. The polybutene-1 's relative molecular mass was higher when catalyst was aging at 0℃,ternary aging. When the catalyst was aging in short time, the polybutene-1 's relative molecular mass will be stable, while it was aging longer time, the polybutene-1 's relative molecular mass will decrease. The experiments of polymerization's kinetic showed: the polymerization rate followed the first order with respect to monomer and catalyst concentration, and will not change this relation with the original butene's and catalyst's concentration, and... |
