| Metallographic analysis, analysis for fracture surface ofscanning electron microcopy photographs, electron-probe analysis, X-ray powder diffraction analysis, differential scanning calorimetry analysis, thermal expansion, corrosion resistance test and resistance to high temperature oxidation test have been done for the mechanical properties and microstructures of alloy Al-Cu-Fe (68.4Fe 24Cu 7.6A1 wt%) and alloy Al-Cu-Fe alloyed with titanium, manganese and boron.According to the results of powder diffraction, strength experiment and microstructure analysis, alloy Al-Cu-Fe is made up of solid-solubility Cu and solid-solubility α -Fe; if titanium, manganese and boron were alloyed into alloy Al-Cu-Fe, the yield strength and tensile strength of samples have been heightened evidently and the results showed that alloy Al-Cu-Fe containing 1.5(wt)% titanium and 0.5% boron content is excellent in mechanical properties. The yield strength can reach 530Mpa and the ductility can reach 4.17%; The alloy Al-Cu-Fe studied by author have excellent property of resistance to high temperature oxidation; the coefficient of expansion of alloy Al-Cu-Fe is lower than the coefficient of expansion of copper , iron and aluminum~[1]. |
