The technology for synthesizing polysuccinimide was studied by pyrocondensation polymerization of 1-aspartic acid monomer. The effect of some reaction conditions, such as reaction time, reaction temperature, catalysts and the granularity of reaction material, on the scale inhibition performance of polyaspartic acid are studied. The optimal conditions of reaction was determined, which were polymerization temperature at 240℃, reaction time at 4 hours and the comminuted material. But the catalysts had little effect on the scale inhibition performance of product.The influence of the different conditions of polysuccinimide hydrolyzation on the scale inhibition performance of polyaspartic acid was studied. The results showed the optimal conditions of polysuccinimide hydrolyzation were at 10℃20℃ and 100g/L of aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide.The performances of polyaspartic acid were studied by means of static scale inhibition test and rotation specimen method and shaking-bottle incubating test. The results showed that polyaspartic acid had good corrosion and scale inhibition and biodegradability.A series of acrylic acid -acrylate copolymer was synthesized and the influence of reaction group and reaction temperature was studied, then the optimal synthesize conditions were determined. Its scale inhibition performance was better than the copolymer scale inhibitors on sale.The combinations with polyaspartic acid and a small of acrylic acid-acrylate copolymer and phosphorus water treatment agent were studied. The results showed that polyaspartic acid had better synergistic effect and the optimal ratio of combination was determined. The static scaleinhibition test and rotation specimen method and dynamic simulation test show that the combination had better scale and corrosion inhibition and dispersancy. The partly biodegradable and low phosphorus water treatment agent, which was suitable for the circulating cooling water with high temperature and hardness and concentration, had a good prospect in market and competition.By using SEM, the influence of polyaspartic acid and combinations on the CaCO3 crystal and the scale inhibition mechanism were studied. The results showed the combination had better scale inhibition and dispersancy.
