However traditional clothing CAD technology only think much of style design not of thermal function and mechanical function design, thereby consumers' demand for functional comfort is not satisfied. So it's necessary to predict and design clothing overall sensory comfort basing on appearance design , thermal function design and mechanical function design, accordingly consumers will be satisfied with individual comfort demand. Hence in the thesis psychological sensory perception process relating to clothing sensory comfort has been studied and analyzed, at the same time establish predicting model using several method basing on the perception process that is from thermal and mechanical performance to individual sense then to overall sensory comfort.First, In this paper multi-attitude scale and wear trial has been developed and applied successfully to simulative wear trial. At same time a series of objective test has been applied to test performance of the fabric.Then, basing on the test data, reliability analysis has been carried out for reliability prove of scale; sensitivity of the scale has been proved using Friedman method. Basing the above availability of the subjective data has been proved further by using Kendall' w method to ensure the availability of data that was used to establish predict model.And then, three independent factors has been abstracted using the methods of classifyand factor analysis. These three factors are thermal- moisture factor, tactile factor and pressure factor. In the further the relationship of sensory factors and overall sensory comfort has been studied and prediction model has been established by using the methods of linear statistic and BP ANN. It is found that there is good linear relationship existing between test data and prediction data.In addition, the relationship of fabric performance and sensory comfort has been studied quantificationally basing on subjective the data from wear trial and objective data from fabric test. A relationship model between fabric performance and sensory comfort has been established by using multivariate regression analysis method. A study model of clothing overall sensory comfort prediction basing on fabric performance has been brought forward through combining the study of psychological sensory perception and the relationship of sensory factors and fabric physical performance.At last, the sensory comfort prediction model has been proved though new test data. It is found that both linear model and BP ANN model have good prediction effect, comparatively BP ANN model is better.A creative study has been carried in the comparative new field of clothing sensory comfort in this paper. Some exploration and accumulation has been obtained for the theory of clothing sensory comfort.
