The liquid infiltration-extrusion technology, as a new forming method which produces the composite tubes, bars, and other shaped products directly from liquid metal, has been developed in recent years with a promising practical application prospect in fields of automobile, architecture, aviation and spaceflight, for its simple working procedure, low cost and good work piece performance. The liquid infiltration-extrusion technology which integrates solidification, thermal conduction, and large plastic deformation is a complex process. So far, system modeling, processing parameter predicting, processing parameter optimizing, process simulating and disfigurement predicting had mainly been researched. These returns were separately, and the different softwares, which were used to study the process, were the difficult to handle together. These lead to not harmonizing the relations of the different functional modules as a whole, and not availably putting these returns in practice use. On the base of analyzing the research technique and methods on the liquid infiltration-extrusion process for fabricating MMC, the paper built the simulation platform on the liquid infiltration-extrusion process for fabricating MMC, which not only concealed most of the results but also possessed the augment-ability for the further study.The paper put forward the architecture of the simulation platform on the liquid infiltration extrusion process for fabricating MMC which was three-layer construction by utilizing the thought of software architecture. The paper firstly described the software architecture of the simulation platform on the liquid infiltration extrusion process for fabricating MMC by mode of combining the '4+1' view and the UML.The paper built respectively the component object models for model setting, processing parameter predicting, processing parameter optimizing and network verifying which were used in the process of the studying the liquid infiltration-extrusion technology. The paper integrated these components into the simulation platform by the user interface. The functions are handled conveniently by these friendly user interfaces. The design pattern like that provided a new method to the studying the liquid infiltration-extrusion technology for further.The simulation platform integrated the simulation process of infiltration in the liquid infiltration extrusion technology by combining the visual C++ and APDL file. Through this manner, the platform not only simplified handling the studying process, but also made use of the returns abundantly. Based on it, the customized post-processing made the simulation work more visual and more convenient.The paper built the technical database for the liquid infiltration extrusion process for fabricating MMC, in order to storage process parameters sciertifically and reduce the data redundancy. The paper achieved managing and using the database. The author's work lay a foundation for the reasonable choose of the process parameters in the futher.
