Sucrose-based polymer is one kind of functionality polymer. Sucrose is used as material. The preirradiated polymeric method to synthesize the sucrose-based polymer has been investigated in this dissertation. Sucrose become active sucrose after irradiated by γ ray of 60Co, when leave the radiation field, the active sucrose can induce the acrylic acid monomer polymerizing, produce SBP. The reactive condition is mild , only need normal temperature and normal pressure, the polymerization process is simple, the cost is low.First, Effects of preirradiation dose, reaction temperature, monomer ratio on the relative molecular weight have been investigated in this dissertation. In the polymerization reactive conditions: preirradiation dose 1kGy; reactive temperature 20℃; reactive time 15h; monomer ratio 5:5:1 (water: sucrose: acrylic acid), we can get the SBP which molecular weight about 60000. According to different use, adjusting the radiation dose, the compose of material, the reactive condition, we can get different molecular weight of SBP.Sucrose-based polymer is characterized by ultraviolet spectra, FT-IR spectra, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and scan electron microscope. The result show that the main chain of polymer include the sucrose structure and the poly(acrylic acid) unit such as -CH2- , >CH-和-COOH. From the observation by scanning electron microscope, it is found that these polymers have a porous surface.The application of sucrose-based polymer on fertilizer controlled releaseand drug controlled release have been investigated in this dissertation. The controlled release fertilizer which made by SBP(molecular weight 134100), (NH4)2SO4 and kaolin have a period about 50 days to release the (NH4)2SO4. The fertilizer release time are related to the concentration of SBP , molecular weight of SBP, the content of kaolin, environment temperature and so on. The controlled release fertilizer made by sucrose-based polymer can be biodegraded. The SBP have a good effect to the drug controlled release. The release time is about 4—10 hours. The release time is related to the concentration, molecular weight of SBP, the content of sodium alginate, the content of polyethylene glycol(PEG) and so on. With the increase of concentration of SBP , molecular weight of SBP, content of sodium alginate, the release time will increased. We can adjust these factors to produce different drug controlled release agent.
