1. A novel compound- 4,4' -di(2,6-dichlordiphenoxyl)diphenylsulfone(TCDPS)was prepared by 2,6-dimethylphenol and 4,4 ' -dichlordiphenylsulfone through three steps. The chemical structure was characterized by FT-IR, 'H-NMR and DSC in detail. It was proved that the structure of the compound is in accordance with our design. It has high melting point(220.1℃). TCDPS can polycondense with 4,4 ' -diphenoxyldiphenylsulfone(DPODPS) and terephthaloyl chloride(TPC) at low temperature in the presence of AlCl3 and NMP to give a series of star polymers.2. A novel series of random star polymer were synthesized through Friedel-Craftsacylation polycondensation in 1,2-dichloroethane and in the presence of AlCl3 and DMF. The star polymer was composed by two parts: arm was composed by poly(aryl ether ketone ketone)(PEKK), core was 4,4 '-di(2,6-dichlordiphenoxyl)diphenylsulfone(TCDPS). The thermal prosperity of the star polymer were characterized by DSC, WAXD, TGA, etc. The results show that the star polymers have excellent heat-resistance properties and solution-resistance properties.3. A novel series of star polymer was prepared under low temperature .the coreof the star polymer is4,4'-di(2,6-dichlordiphenoxyl)diphenylsulfone(TCDPS), the arm of the star polymer was synthesized by diphenoxyldiphenylsulfone(DPODPS)and terephthaloyl chloride(TPC)in 1,2-dichloroethane and in the presence of AlCl3 and DMF. The structure and thermal properity were characterized by FT-IR, DSC, WAXD, TGA, etc. The results show that the glass transition temperature(Tg) increases with the increasing of the ration of DPODPS/TPC, the inherent viscocity, melting temperature and crystallinity of the star polymers increase with the increasing of the length of the arm..The conclusion is that the star polymer can solve in sereval solutions such as NMP, DMF, etc. It has high performance in heat-resistance properity.4. A novel series of star polymer were synthesized through two steps: the first one is the synthesis of the arm. Arm was prepared with isophthaloyl chloride (IPC) and dipehenylether(DPE) in 1,2-dichloroethane and in the presence of AlCl3 and DMF. After that add thecore-4,4'-di(2,6-dichlordiphenoxyl)diphenylsulfone(TCDPS) into the arm polymer system. The star polymers were characterized by FT-IR, DSC, WAXD, TGA and their solubility properties were tested. The results show that the star polymers have high glass transition temperature, good thermostabilities and excellent solubilities. Because of their star structure and smaller molecular weight, they are expected to be used as plasticizer to decrease the viscosity of the melting polymer then relieve the difficulty of the processing.
