Electromagnetic Pump filling technology used in cast producing is an advanced technology which has developed recently.It can overcome limitation of traditional low pressure cast technology which is filling uncalmly and hard controlled.It can also enhance the quality of casting.Inorder to optimize technology scheme, complete technology once and make good use of Electromagnetic Pump,the flowing and the temperature of metal liquid in the process of Electromagnetic Pump filling must be foreseen by scientific means.The paper studied numerical simulation on process of Electromagnetic Pump filling.The parameters such as the head pressure and the flow rate with relation to the electrode current of the Electromagnetic Pump had been studied. SOLA-VOF is the model of numerical simulation on process of Electromagnetic Pump filling which fits the characteristic of Electromagnetic Pump filling.The VOF method is modified to lighten artificial diffusing which results from "Donor-Acceptor"method.Simple boundary setting is made when the metal liquid collides model wall.In addition, method of minishing search field is used to improve the speed of numerical simulation on process of Electromagnetic Pump filling and it speeds the calculate.Hydraulic analogy experiment is made to validate the program of numerical simulation on process of Electromagnetic Pump filling .By comparison between calculate result and experiment result,they accord with each other.It can come to a conclusion that the program is right.
