In this paper, some recent results on shallow lakes model are summarized and the related methods of computer are summarized either. For shallow of the water, any effluence came from outer can fluent the water of lake, the pollution of the water came from sediment will begin. A governing equation for sediment pollution is developed based on turbulence diffusion of pollutants in shallow lakes. Coupled with the shallow water equations, a depth-averaged 2D flow-water quality model is proposed. Under the framework of finite volume method, Osher scheme of approximate Riemann solvers is employed. An analytical resolution was used to examine the model capabilities. Computered results match the factual results very well. The study provides a new approach and a practical tool for flow-water quality simulation in the shallow lake.
