On the basis of its layout, utilities, chlorine demands for chloroluethanes finacial operation and occupying 10% GAE in 16 and 27 model. Houghe Chemical Inc has decided to begain the technical project to phase out the GAE by means of metallic anode one through expounding and proof.This paper is based on the basic theory of chloroalkaline, researches over-potential oxygen and hydrogen percipitation on the electrode, analyses the impact of different conditions(temperature, couceutration electrolyte, aicdity and brine guality,etc) on the electrolysis, provides the process parameters for the project and involves awpplication of cathode electrocatalysis.The research project is in the light of the enterprise production development, capital and market demand, implements the principle of gradual elimcication, steady modification, expounds the reason why to choose the GAE instead of advaueed ionic exchange membrane cell. During Engineering process, the proceass calcalcation had been done in detail.
