This paper is about calculation of flow network in process simulation. Sequential modular approach method for dynamic process simulation is introduced firstly. Based on this method , the node module is proposed in this paper. A complex flow network can be split into several simple dendriform ones by this module. The real-time computation of flow and pressure of the whole network can be solved dynamically by figured out each simple network and node module sequentially. The software is tested well in the many process simulations such as Jinxi Chemical Factory process simulation, and shows that it is reliable and can be utilized to improve the efficiency and quality of modelling for flow network. Besides, a new method, two tiered approach, is also proposed in this paper for calculating the flow and pressure of flow network. This method can increase the calculation speed and ensure stabilization of numerical value by iterative algorithm between simple model and precise model.
