Biological treatment has becoming an economic and feasible project along with the improvements of biotechnology. At the same time, iron removal technology has entered a period of biological iron removal study and application. People come to know the importance of microbe in the filtration , some one even put forward the idea that biological iron removal would become the technology which would replace the technology of contact oxidation process.Based on the research findings on biological iron removal in both domestic and abroad, according to the fact that studies of biological iron removal mainly aimed at specific water, this research puts forward a scheme of microbe cultivation under comparatively low pH. At last, efficiency of filtrations on different conditions was examined in order to find the effect of factors, such as size, pH, DO etc. The ferrous oxidation statuses of different depth were monitored during this experiment, this has never mentioned in references.After counting the number of microbes, we find that there are numeral microbes which could oxidize ferrous, and find this microbes mainly exist in upper leach, and find microbes in 3# filter are more than others.The experiment showed biological iron removal was not apparently espetialy at conditions of higher pH and DO. As pH and DO increase, oxidation speed would ascend, but biological iron removal effect becomes week. Oxidation occurred mainly within 30cm depth, oxidation speed descend when the depth beyond 30cm.
