Experimental Studies On High-Temperature Phase Desulfurization During Coal Combustion

During coal combustion at high temperature in furnaces, the desulfurization rate is difficult to promote. In allusion to this problem, the reaction mechanisms of desulfurization was analyzed and studied thoroughly. Firstly, we analyze the ways of desulfurization and discuss the condition when we apply them. The CaSO4 has decomposed in high temperature, so we have to find some effective ways to desulfurization. It's possible that the formation of sulphoaluminate in high temperature as a way of desulfurization. The formation and separate of sulphoaluminate was studied in high temperature experiment equipment and XRD and SEM.As a way of desulfurization, the sulphoaluminate is very stable in 1350C. So it's very important to study it's characteristic.The formation and separate rules of sulphoaluminate were studied by CaO and AI2O3 and CaSO4 2H2O in different compound ratio. Especially in high temperature, in the experiment equipment temperature can reach to 1300-1500C. We research the influence of CO2 and N2 and SO2 to the formation and separate of sulphoaluminate.The influence of MgO and BaCO3 and Fe2O3also been discussed.We research the CaS in the high temperature and in different atmosphere, and research the influence of CO2 to the formation of CaS.Cause the characteristic of coal has mineral itself, we research the desulfuration of eight kind of coal. Cause the mineral of the coal can be the material of desulfuration, so the cost of desulfuration can be reduced. Through the reach of the mixture of the coal and it's ash and the coal and additive, we find the rules of affect the formation of sulphoaluminate. Through the XRD and SEM we can illustrate the mechanism of the formation of sulphoaluminate in the ash of coal. By the research of the dregs after desulfuration ,we can find the dregs is very usefull.
