Energy shortage, greenhouse effect and environmental pollution caused by the industrialization has become the three serious problems in the world. Developing new energy is an important part of the sustainable development tactics. As for the solar energy can be used without exhausted, it must be one of the notable energy in 21 century. Up to the 20's and 30's of this century, the cost of the solar energy generation of electricity may fall up to the level of the general energy generation cost, which specialist have been analyzed and forecast. The new times of extensively using solar energy and recycle-solar energy time is coming.Up to today, the development of the solar cells included three parts: the first generation solar cells, which is also called single c-silicon solar cells. The second generation solar cells (films) is explored at the last 80's and early 90's, and acquired the great achievement. The principle of third generation photovoltaic cells break through the first and the second generation 's principle. Using the character of the low dimension nano-microstructure materials, superlattice, multilayers, and quantum wells and quantum lines, quantum dots impurity engineering and energy band engineering of the semiconductors. Photovoltaic materials and devices with high efficiency and low cost can be made by artificial work.The work about the first and the second generation solar cells is: (1) Investigated the basic Characteristic of the single solar cells using Specially designed circuit by myself measured it's characteristic. With determined curve, we can investigated the open circuit voltage, short circuit current, conversion efficiency and fill factor of the solar cells; (2). A Paper about amorphous silicon solar cells was published at solar energy magazine; (3) This paper gives an design of an small solar cells' generation system, accounted and made a small generated system.The main task of my paper is investigating superlattice, multilayers,which were significant for the third generation solar cells. The work of this paper can be concluded as following:1. Metal/metal oxide /metal multilayers quantum wells of Chromium, Aluminum, Silicon were fabricated by optimizing process parameters and heated oxygenation and natural oxygenation technology,2. Detected the thickness of the films with balance.3. Investigated the resistance characters of the multilayers, found the liked negative resistance polarity at normal temperature and low temperature (77k).4. Detecting multilayers' surface appearance and interface, meanwhile analyzed the component of the multilayers with scanning electron microscope(SEM).5. Analyzing surface appearance and interface with scanning tunneling microscope (STM) and atom forces microscope (AFM).
