The aim of this thesis was to investigate the methods of heightening the bulk density of potassium carbonate by sintering-hydration and crystallization. In the method of sintering-hydration, the react material, the granularity of material, the temperature of sintering, the reaction time gave rise to different effects on the final bulk density of potassium carbonate. The performance demonstrated that the bulk density of potassium carbonate could reach 1.2034g/cm3 under the following conditions: potassium bicarbonate as sintering material, 500℃,1h of sintering. In the sintering experiment, water was introduced into the system to get a high bulk density. In crystallization, crystal material, crystal manner, the temperature of evaporation, the growing speed were investigated in the experiment, also the influences to the bulk density of final product.According to the experimental data, it showed that its sintering mechanism belongs to the surface diffusion. The sintering kinetics equation of potassium carbonate has been obtained.
