The increasing intensivism of pig production brings out serious pollution to environment, especially pollution of stench and feces. Pollution of stench has arrest attention of people, because it not only menaces the healthy of animal and people, but decreases production performance of animal. In this thesis the effect of plant essential oil on pig slurry ammonia emission was determined. At the same time, its mechanism was explored.Experiment 1: We screened out the optimal technic by the effect of CE addition in slurry on urease activty; Experiment 2: The effect of Cinnamomum bark extract (CBE) addition in pig slurry on ammonia emission was determined; Experiment 3: The effect of CBE supplemented in growing pig feed on pig performance and ammonia emission from pig slurry were investigated; Experiment 4: Effect of CBE on commercial urease activity and growth of urease-producing bacteria and L. acidophilus were studied. In experiment 1. the effect of CE from different extraction progresses added in pig fecal on urease activity was compared. The results indicated that the inhibition effect of CE from different extraction progresses added in pig fecal to urease activity was strong positive correlated with cinnamaldehyde concentration in CE at 0.01 significant level, and inhibition effect of A2B2C4D2E1 to pig fecal urease activity was best in 16 groups of orthogonal experiments, which was 24.99%.The optimal chemical extract technic gained by orthogonal experiments was A2B2C4D3E1 ,namely the raw Cinnamomum bark and 80% ethylalcohol were mixed with the ratio of 20mL/g, and then heated at 50C for 6h. CE gained by optimalchemical extract technic has a 25.11% inhibition rate to urease activity. In distillation wxperiments, CE gained by the raw Cinnamomum bark and 95% ethylalcohol were mixed with the ratio of 15mL/g, and then heated at 90 C for 9h, has maximal inhibition effect to pig fecal urease activity, which was 13.10%.In experiment 2, the effect of CBE by the best extraction process condition on pig fecal urease activity and concentration of urea nitrogen (UN), ammoniacal nitrogen (AN), and total nitrogen (TN) were studied. The results indicated that the inhibition effect of CBE from different extraction progresses added in pig fecal to urease activity was strong positive correlated with cinnamaldehyde concentration in CBE at 0.01 significant level, and inhibition effect of A2B2C4D2E1 to pig fecal urease activity was best, which was A.22%. When CBE by the best extraction process condition was added in pig fecal (slurry) at dose of 6.25, 12.5, 25, 50, 100, 200ml CA/kg fresh fecal, the results as followed. 1. The inhibition rates to pig fecal urease activity were 8.22 % (P<0.01), 12.59 % (P<0.01), 25.88 % (P<0.01), 40.66 % (P<0.01), 48.42 % (P<0.01) and 55.78 % (P<0.01), respectively, compared with control. 2. The decomposition rate of urea in slurry was delayed greatly, and the trend was more great with the CA dose increasing and the time gone. On 14 day, urea concentrations of the control and blank groups were very low, whereas urea concentration of CBE added groups was relative high. For example, urea concentrations of 100ml/kg and 200ml/kg groups were 18.56mol/l and 20.98mol/l, respectively. 3. The concentration of ammoniacal nitrogen in slurry decreased effectively, especially from Oh to 48h. In this phase, The concentrations of ammoniacal nitrogen of control and blank maintained above 2.6mg/ml, whereas CBE added groups' keep below 1.8mg/ml. 4. The content of total nitrogen in slurry increased significantly. In 0~48h phase, total nitrogen concentrations of control and blank decreased more quickly than other treatments'. At 48 h, the total nitrogen concentration of control and blank had decreased by 20.66 % and 21.74, respectively, but CBE added groups' had decreased 10-15 %. On 14 d, the total nitrogen concentration of control and blank had decreased about 40 %, compared with 0 h, yet 200 ml/kg group's had decreased by 22.96 %. On 7 d and 14 d, the total nitrogen content of 100mg/kg and 200 ml/kg groups...
