As the development of the fruit-industry, the quality of fruits has been attached more and more importance to fruit farmers. fruiterers and consumers. And this asks for the higher standard for the examination of fruits. In this article, we use the non-destructive determination technology to judge the characteristics of gooseberries by studying the change of the dielectric peculiarity parameters of gooseberries in the electric field.The research projects are gooseberries. By lots of experiments, We study the impact of the examining condition. electric excitation signal. species of gooseberries etc to the dielectric peculiarity parameters by making use of the invented examining system; We also study the relationship between the dielectric peculiarity and the physical character during the later growing stage and the storing after collecting. According to the result, we make use of the artificial neural network to build the recognizer of species. The result shows:In the non-destructive determination, the relative dielectric peculiarity parameters of gooseberries become larger with the holding force and holding time; the capacitance of gooseberries becomes larger with the increase of the area of electrode. At the usual temperature, the relative dielectric peculiarity parameters and loss tangent increase with the temperature's increase, while the resistance will decrease with the temperature's increase.The frequency quality of the dielectric peculiarity parameters of gooseberries changes with the signal voltages. Concerning the Voltage quality of the dielectric peculiarity parameters of gooseberries, we lead in a "critical voltage value", if the test voltage is more than the "critical voltage", the capacitance and resistance decrease fast, while the loss tangent increase rapidly.The experiment result on the damaged gooseberries shows the parameters on the dielectric peculiarity of gooseberries change when they were damaged. But during the storing, compared with the good gooseberries, the changing regulation of the parameters on the dielectric peculiarity are not absolutely same.In the growing stages, the frequency quality of the parameters on thedielectric peculiarity of gooseberries is same to the ripe ones, but the voltage quality is different During die storage, because of the released ethylene and respiration, the parameters changes correspondingly. And different samples hear different regulation.At last, we found the species recognizer, whose capacity of identification is 90%.
