The vibration behavior and thermal deflection of the circular saw with the slots were studied with the experiment that involve to experimental mode analysis (EMA) and simulation heating at the edge of the saw blade in this thesis. The effects on the vibration behavior and thermal deflection of the circular saw by the number, length and width of the slots were analyzed and discussed.The results show that the number, length and width of the slots influence evidently the vibration behavior and thermal deflection of the circular saw. The vibrating amplitude and the natural frequency, the thermal deflection of the circular saw are decrease evidently with the increasing of the number and length of the slots. The width of the slots only influences the thermal deflection, the thermal deflection of the circular saw increases with the increasing of width of the slots.Moreover, the results show that a range that is easy to deflect and a maximal deflection would exist during the thermal deflecting of saw blade.
