With the rapid development of high-speed and heavy-loading track, the security of the railroad running becomes more and more important. So, the material, capability, and the quality of processing are needed to be better than before. The rail welding plays an important role in the engineering of laying continuous welded railway (C WR), and decides the quality of rail tie-in directly, which has great influence on railway security. The flash welding is the main method in rail welding, whose quality and control manner have made a great progress in recent years. But, the non-destructive test of tie-in quality is always ultrasonic inspection, which is impacted by operators greatly and through which the spot gray could not be found. It is urgent to find another method to inspect the tie-in, which is simpler, more convenient and effective.In this paper, the high-speed acquisition and data processing program are written on the base of Lab VIEW and Visual Basic software. The high-speed acquisition of 50kHz is used in the data acquisition of rail flash welding and the instantaneous parameters of the current, voltage and length-loss in welding process. Then, the welding state is judged by the characters of the ample and voltage in flash, short circuit and open circuit. At last, the flash ratios in the acceleration and the second low-voltage phase are got. At the same time, the other characters parameters are got through the data processing, such as total welding time, total energy input, etc.At last, the equation, which is about the relation between the tie-in quality and the characters in welding process, is established by using the linear regress. Using this equation, the quality of tie-in can be forecasted and evaluated.The results show that it is effective to judge the welding state by using the characters of the current and voltage in welding process; the flash ratio at acceleration phase has a great effect on the quality of tie-in; the equation has utility value.
