| The principal problem of aqueous wood lacquer is that the film is not enough hard or bad water resistance which is easily causing demolition of the film and affects the effect of decorating. In this article by addition of cross-linking groups which link in the course of film drying, hydrophilic groups are eliminate and water resistance is improved and high cross-linking density elevates hardness of film.Op-40 and SDS were used as surfactants in this experiment, when 3% of which were used, stable latex was gained. Using persulfate as free radical initiator and a batch and pre-emulsification process carried out, varieties of self-crosslinking styrene-acrylate latex and pure acrylic latex with good stability in storage could be gained.The functional monomers were comprised of GMA, MAA and NHMA. The research manifested that GMA and NHAM had effect on hardness of film, but NHAM was better than GMA from the aspect of water resistance. It was proved that with coordination of 3% GMA and 2% NHAM, the hardness of film reached 2H and water resistance gained 96h longer, and impact resistance and stability in storage reached the level of coating film. According to practical requirement, film could achieve the goal by changing the dosage of GMA and NHMA.Ambient self-crosslinking latex comprised of DAAM and acrylamide was also prepared and when the dosage of DAAM was beyond 2%, the hardness of film reached 2H, but latex without other groups had bad water resistance and was unsuitable in practice.In the research of metal ion self-crosslinking latex, a lot of experiments proved that when 6% MAA, 2% methylol acrylamide and 0.5:1 of molar ratio of Zn2+/COO- by adding zinc acetate to adjust were used, hardness of film reached 2H, water resistance gaind 96h longer and other characteristics measured up coating standard.The effect of glass transition temperature (Tg) on amount of coalescing agent and mechanic capability of film was also researched. At a Tg of 45℃, the amount of self-crosslinking coalescent GAN was preferably 10% and the amount of metal self-crosslinking coalescent was preferably 16%.In the research of varieties of self-crosslinking latex, the coatings gained had a hardness of 2H, water resistance of 96h longer and could be stored six months longer. The research resolved the common problems of aqueous coatings' low hardness and bad water resistance. |
