The Assessment Of Land Desertification And The Analysis Of Dynamic Change' Drive Factor Of Land Desertification In Yu Li

Land desertification means that: Land degradation in arid, semi-arid and dry sub-wetness areas resulting from various factors including climatic variability and human activities. Which is a serious environment problem, and bring great harm to human beings. Tarim River Basin locate in west - inland drought area, where is one of the most serious desert area. Since liberation, for population increased rapidly, excessive land use, desertification had become a main obstacle, which restricts local economic development. Taken YULI country in Tarim River Basin as a case, through the technique of remote sensing and geographic information system (GIS), the paper studies region character, landscape pattern, dynamic change, drive factor and development trend. Thus the study can be guide to the management and exploitation of the desertification.There are six parts in the article:First: the preface. In this part, the significances of the study on the Land desertification and the concept of desertification are introduced.Second: the generality of the study region. First, the author introduce the definition of the study area- YULI. Then, the character of ecological environment and economy are introduced.Third: Based on the theory of ecosystem health and landscape, by RS and GIS, the assessment model is build. The author finishes the assessment of land desertification.Forth: By the interpreter of TM data of 1995 and 2000, the author analyzes the status of land use. For the character of area, the author selects correspond landscape indices, analyzes landscape pattern, and studies the change of landscape pattern.Five: From nature and human aspect, the paper analyzes the drive fact of land desertification. The conclusion shows that the increase of population and development of economy are the main factors, which lead to LUCC of YULI. At last, the article discusses the trend of land use in YULISix: According as the status in quo, analysis of drive factor, and the trend of desertification, the paper puts forward to ecological conservation and development countermeasures.
