In this paper, oil properties are briefly introduced and the basictheories of oil spill mathematical modeling and its development aresummarized in detail. The equations of molecule diffusion and turbulentdiffusion and one-two dimensional dispersion in shear fluid are deducedsystematically. All these equations are the base of the mathematicalmodeling on oil spill. In the oil spill modeling two-dimensional advection-diffusionequation is adapted to simulate the oil slick diffusion. According to theMonte Carlo Method, the spreading and drifting of oil slick is simulatedin Euler-Lagrange Method. Then the random number in the spreading ofoil slick is put out. And the oil spill modeling is verified by water channelexperiment. The expression of oil slick thickness is deduced, and thenresults of the major axis and minor axis of the oil slick suppostionalellipse is calculated. The decency and fate problem of oil are consideredsystematically in this modeling. This modeling mainly includes thevolatilization, emulsification and entrainment of oil. This modeling is applied in Daya Bay. Ten stations datum on seahydrodynamics are used to debug and verify the hydrodynamic modelingand the dye trace is used to verify the oil spill trajectory modeling. Theresults show the basic theory is right and the modeling method is feasible. This modeling has been accepted by the CNOOC and ShellPetrochemicals Company Ltd. It is very important to protect the ecologicenvironment of Daya Bay.
