| Hydrocyclone have got fast development lately, which started at the end of 1980's in China Many academy and university have made much of hydrocyclone's research primarily concentrating on the research of macroscopic external characteristic, velocity field and separation theory etc. Among of these, macroscopic external characteristic research is most in depth. But velocity field research and separation theory research are not relative enough because of the poor test means and calculation methods.In this paper a new type of hydrocyclpne is designed which is of curvic taper segments and arc intergradation. The design is based on the theory of velocity field improvement and varies regular hydrocyclone's two straight line mutually handing over construction.This assume can get theoretical promote from boundary layer and its separation theory. It is doubtlessly in favor of the separation of hydrocyclone avoiding the turbulence of velocity field caused by burbling. Testing is done to new hydrocyclone's velocity field verifying the influence of the new structure. The main diameters and other primary parameters are the same to convenience the contrast of velocity field variation. Laser Doppler Velocimeter (LDV) is used as measuring apparatus. Main contrastive contents are concentrated on velocity field distribution, velocity amplitude and variation with operating parameters etc.Based on the numerical calculation, it is done to hydrocyclone analysis that modifying model K- ?by theory of aeolotropism,. using hydrodynamics software Fluent to calculation and contrasting the calculation result with the test one.This research will deepen the comprehension of hydrocyclone's velocity field and provide a new way of thinking to construction design and its research methods. |
