This paper investigated the Ultrasonic Nondestructive Testing (UNDT) problem on the bonded layer between WCu and Cu ( or CrCu), which is an ideal and widely used material for contact , by using digital Ultrasonic testing device through design and manufacture appropriate reference blocks. It analysed the UNDT characteristic of the joint layer, summed up the wave amplitudes at different depth by statistic , and then presented the testing ways with Ultrasonic. The results is showed as follows:1. the bonded layer between WCu and Cu ( or CrCu) is not an ideal bond layer for the contact;2. he bonding quality for WCu and Cu ( or CrCu) can be indirectly showed by the reflected wave amplitude of Ultrasonic;3. the testing for WCu and Cu ( or CrCu) is limited by such factors as the size and shape of testing area, the size of the probe,and so on.4. under the given condition, the UNDT for the lager center area and the smaller outer step area must use the probe with different sizes, the bonding quality can be evaluated by the experimented AVG curves.
