This research relates to new pyrimidinyloxy benzyl amine derivatives, their preparation processes and uses as chemical herbicides in agriculture.The research on inhibitors of acetyl lactic acid synthetase (ALS) is one of the most activity areas in herbicides; pyrimidine salicylic acid derivatives are intentioned and developing very fast as its high efficient, low toxic, degradable, safe to the crop and environmental friendly.This research optimizes the chemical structure of pyrimidine salicylic acid derivatives, design and synthesized a series of 130 new compounds which structure are 2-pyrimidinyloxy- (substitute)-benzyl amine, preparation and structure corroborated by NMR and MS. Biological Testing discovered some compounds have high herbicide activity. After test the crop safety, field test and acute toxicity test, we selected the new compound: Propyl 4-[2-[(4, 6-dimethoxy-2-pyrimidinyl)oxy] benzylamino] benzoate that can applied to weed control of crops such as rape and cotton, in the dosage of 30-45g/ha, it can well control the weeds of Alopecurus aequalis and Amaranthus retroflexus. We developed this compound as an herbicide in rape field, and finally we got the register in China.
