This article studied surface physicochemical process of aluminized alloy layer and steel module and its effect on their welding properties during the hot-dip aluminizing process. The results show that the diffused alloy layer mainly consists of Fe2Al5 phase ( A phase) columnar crystal microstructure and a little FeAl3 phase ( θ phase) microstructure. The article includes the research about hot-dip aluminized steel's weldability by applying different kinds of welding methods, such as fusion welding and resistance welding, on it. Then, after the analysis of corrosion resistance and mechanical properties of the weld bead, an alkali coating stainless steel electrode for aluminized steel was developed. The result shows the existence of hot-dip aluminum coating of steel causing some technical difficulties during the welding process. However, a satisfied weld quality may be obtained by choosing reasonable welding materials and strict welding process. The corrosion resistance of the weld bead will be reduced by heat losing surface alumnum during the welding process. In order to solve this issue effectively, method of either welding by special stainless steel weld or welding by general weld followed by spraying heated aluminum at weld zone can be used. This is the distinguish merit of this article.
