Gold is broadly used both in ancientry and in modern times because of its ideal physical and chemical characteristics. The materials, which can be used to extract gold, primarily includes ores from gold field and secondly are byproducts from nonferrous metal processing and metallurgy, and all kinds of rescissory and old materials containing gold. On the basis of different properties of gold in the materials which contain gold, the methods that gold can be extracted from them mainly include gravitation separation, flotation separation, cyanidation, the treating method of refractory gold ores, non-cyanide process and amalgamation and so on.In this paper, a systematic experimental study of leaching gold have been done on the basis of the study on technological mineralogy of the sulfur concentrate containing gold from Daye Iron Mine. Because the results of groping experiment was not good, which was used to process gold from the sulfur concentrate respectively through gravitation separation and flotation separation, the experimental study on cyanide leaching is done in the lab, pramirily including grind fineness experment, sodium cyanide dosage experiment, lime dosage experiment, leaching time experiment, leaching consistence experiment, roast - cyanide leaching experiment and plumbous nitrate pretreatment - cyanide leaching experiment. The results show that the leaching rate of gold can reach 92.67% when the sulfur concentrate is leached on the basis of the grind fineness of -0.044mm 90%, 4 hours alkaline pretreatment of plumbous nitrate solution, the sodium cyanide dosage of 5kg/t, the lime dosage of 2.0kg/t, the leaching time of 36 hours, the leaching consistence of 30% and the PH of 10.0-11.0. At the same time, the correlative study and discussion on the mechanism of the reciprocity of cyanide leaching solution and associated composition, the mechanism of leaching gold by cyanide leaching and the action of plumbous nitrate on the course of cyanide leaching of sulfur concentrate from Daye Iron Mine are done.In this study, the elementary experimental study is done for this sulfur concentrate by new method of processing gold - thiourea leaching. A quitebetter result we got is that the leaching rate of gold can reach 81.09% when the sulfur concentrate is leached 6 hours by thiourea leaching on the basis of the grind fineness of -0.044mm 90%, 2 hours thin vitriol pretreatment, the thiourea dosage of 5g/t, the PH of 1-1.5, the solid - to - liquid ratio of 5:2 and the temperture of 25 .After the simple economic analysis of the experiment of leaching gold for Daye Iron Mine sulfur concentrate, we can educe that the newly productive value can reach 2,399,600 yuan per year when 35,000 ton sulfur concentrate is processed through the process flow of plumbous nitrate pretreatment -cyanide leaching.
