As a new technology which has been developed in recent ten year s, electrostatic self-assembly method (ESA method) has many merits, s uch as clear structure of films , easy controlled thickness of films and preparation easy, etc. So many researchers have strong interest in it, specially its application in conductible and luminous device s and delinearity optical materials. And the complex of hydroxyquino line and metal iron is a small molecule luminous material which has very high luminescence efficiency. But it is not reported that it is coordinated with polymers and get films with ESA,then researches it s photoelectricity properties. So we studied it. First hydroxyquinol ine was grafted into side chains of polymers(PMMA), which wants to m ake use of that polymers can be filmed easy, we got two polymers tha t one has 10% hydroxyquinoline in its chains, the other has 40%. The n they were complexed with metal iron Zn2+ and assembled with polyele ctrolytes. So we got ultra-thin films of many layers. Then we resear ched the solution and self-assembly films of them, found the UV and fluorescence spectrum of their solutions and films are different. So we put forward two kinds structure of polymer/metal-complex. We also studied the different appearance of their films that has Zn2+ and notwith AFM. Last we researched the self-assembly films of Alcian Blue and PcCu(CH2Cl)4 with polyelectrolytes by the similar method.
