In the system of water flooding in oil field and system of industry circulating water, the corrosion due to microorganism is breathtaking. In the numerous microorganisms, sulfate reducing bacterial(SRB) is the most important one that leading to corrosion.Amphoteric surfactant, dodecyl dimethyl (2-sulfurous acid) ethyl ammonium, also namely sulfitobetaine , has excellent behaviour including deferring corrosion and disinfecting, good water-solubility and clean-stripping effect. It is easy to be biodegraded, and it can been used with other water quality stabilizers. It overcomes drug resistance using 1227 and it is specific to SRB.It is widely used in water treatment, but the research on content analysis is rarely lacking. The most important is the absence of its standard sample. In this paper, we used acetone as recrystallizing solvent, crude product was recrystallized .We confirmed that we have gained pure sample by Element analysis,IR,HNMR .We considered the methods of Reineckate , gold orange pigmentâ…¡and perchloric acid potential titration are suitable to analysis on sulfitobetaine. Methods of Reineckate and gold orange pigmentâ…¡belong to spectrophotometry. The principle as follows: active agent and gegenion pigment formed to ion pare compound which made organic solvent having colour or formed to deposit matter which was soluble in organic solvent. We controlled pH rigidly through HAc-NaAc buffer solution for eliminating disturbance and complete reaction. These two methods are suitable to quality controlling of sulfitobetaine and concentration detection in water treatment. Method of perchloric acid potential titration belongs to acid-alkali titration in absence of water. The disturbance of dodecyl dimethylamine was eliminated by petroleum ether. This method is suitable to analyze solid sample, which belongs to constant analysis and can been applied in product quality controlling of sulfitobetaine.
