The fiber /resin/aluminum alloy laminated composites are designed and fabricated according to the relationship between structure and property of shell. The laminated composites have light weight, good mechanical property and anti-vibration damping property. It has great significance for developing high properties composites. The good prospect of laminated composites for industrial application is expected. The fiber/resin/aluminum alloy laminated composites have been fabricated by using a method of hot pressing and solidifying. The interface bonding strength of aluminum alloy/resin interface, mechanical property and anti-vibration damping property are investigated. The interface bonding of laminated composites is analyzed by using a method of shear strength and T-peel off strength. It is concluded that the interface bonding strength of aluminum alloy /resin interface exhibits high bonding strength and fiber/resin/aluminum alloy laminated composites have well formability.Fiber/resin/aluminum alloy laminated composites is a kind of interlaminar superhybrid composite material developed by laminating fiber, resin and aluminum alloy. It has not only the property of polymer composites but also that of aluminum alloy. The density of fiber/resin/aluminum alloy laminated composite is 2.0g/cm3, only 75 percent of aluminum alloy, the specific strength of laminated composites is improved by 87.3 percent compared with the base layer (aluminum alloy). The strength and modulus of fiber/resin/aluminum alloy laminated composites correspond to mixing rule of composite materials. The bending strength of fiber/resin/aluminum alloy laminated composites is 465MPa and it has good property of bend formability. The experiment of impact property shows that fiber/resin/aluminum alloy laminated composites have higher impact strength than that of LY12 aluminum alloy. There are several forms of impact damage. In this paper, the damping property of fiber/resin/aluminum alloy laminated composites is studied by using a method of freedom vibration. Excellent vibration damping property is found in laminated composites due to its distinctive structure. The damping coefficient of the laminated composites is more than twice that of LY12 aluminum alloy. Furthermore, the damping coefficient of laminated composite is enhanced with the increasing of thickness of fiber/resin layer. The vibration damping mechanism is analyzed.
