Synthesis,Characterization And Crystal Structure Of Transition Metal Complexes Of Pyrazolone Hydrazine And Hydrazone

In this paper, a novel kind of pyrazolone derivatives and their transition metal complexes have been synthesized by the reaction of 4-acylpyrazolone with hydrazide and salicylthydrazone. The paper consists of two parts:In the first part, a series of transition metal complexes have been synthesized by reaction of N-(l-phenyl-3menthyl-4-acye]-pyrazolone-5)salicylhydrazide with Cu(OAc)2.H2O, Zn(OAc)2.2H2O, Ni(OAc)2.4H2O, Co(OAc)2.4H2O, Mn(OAc)2.4H2O respectively ,and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectrum, UV spectrum, molar conductance, TG-DTA. The suitable single crystal of [Cu(PMEP-SAL)]4.H2O was successfully obtained by means of solvent diffusion. The crystal structure was determined by X-ray crystallography. The study of crystal structure indicates that the complexes belongs to tetragonal,14(1)/a, a=b=27.047(5) A, c=14.103(3) A, a=b=y =90,V=10317(4)A3, Z=16, Dc=1.071g/cm3, F(000)=3408, R,=0.1395, R2=0.1766 and every unit of the tetranuclear complexes is four-coordinated to tridentate ligand and nitrogen atom in pyrazolone from other ligand. The complexes is slightly deformed square-planar geometry. Because of the coordination of N atom in pyrazlone, the[Cu(PMEP-SAL)]4-H2O molecular have a helix structure.In the second part, five pyrazolone derivatives have been synthesized: N-(l-phenyl-3menthyl-4-(p-nitrobenzylidene)-pyrazolone-5)-salicylhydrazide, N-(l-phenyl-3menthyl-4-benzylidene-pyrazolone-5)-furoylhydrazide, N-(l-phenyl-3-menthyl-4-benzylidene-pyrazolone-5)-salicylhydrazide, N-(l-phenyl-3menthyl-4-acetyl-pyrazolone-5)-salicylhydrazone andN-(l-phenyl-3menthyl-4-(p-nitrobenzylidene)-pyrazolone-5)-salicylhydrazone, characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectrum,UV spectrum, molar conductance TG-DTA. At the same time, a series of transition metal complexes have been synthesized andcharacterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV spectra, molar conductance and TG-DTA.
