During the industrial manufacturing process of aviation, mechanism, chemical engineering and metallurgy, complex construction made of stainless steel and copper alloy were always used. It can save many nonferrous metals and reduce the costs obviously as well. Welding is one of the main manufacturing techniques of metallic construction. But in some occasions, applied performance of welded construction are low, and even become direct and indirect reasons of construction destroy; because of the particularity of welding heat process and welding metallurgy, and the remarkable difference of heat conduction and heat expansion coefficients between stainless steel and copper. Therefore, improvement of welding techniques between stainless steel and copper has been an important topic. According to the characterization of brazing, especially the merits of vacuum brazing mentioned in section 1.4.1, these two welding techniques were both employed in this paper to obtain brazed joint with practical value and favorable performance.Vacuum brazing of heterologous metallic materials-!Crl8Ni9Ti stainless steel and pure copper was introduced in details. Design of solder and joints, and setting of technical parameters were developed according to theoretical analysis and practical experience. Factors affecting the vacuum brazing were analyzed. And the emphasis was laid on the analysis of the affect of brazing assembled clearance on brazing results through the experiments. According to the construction analysis and property testing of the joints, results show that the performance of vacuum brazing in this paper can meet the demand of welding between stainless steel and copper in radiators.5 chapters were included in this paper. Vacuum brazing and its properties, weldability between stainless steel and copper, and recent research situation of welding technique were introduced in the 1st chapter. The 2nd chapter included the formation mechanisms of vacuum joints. In the 3rd chapter, the equipments and technical routes involved were described. The effects of each technical parameter on results of brazing and design rule of parameters were also involved in this chapter. Experimental results and analysis were included in the 4th chapter. Reasons why different parameters lead to different results were also analyzed. The last chapter was conclusion parts.
