The experiment, in which quinoline was biodegraded by predominant bacteria, had been done. The results showed that the CODCr removed process are zero-order reaction, and the biokinetic equations were described. In the small-scale activated sludge batch reactors, the coal plant waste water treatment experiments were done. Firstly, kinetics in which hydrolytic acidification can enhance the biodegradability of coke plant wastewater had been analyzed. Compared with conventional activated sludge method, kinetic half-rate constant KS of the proceeding aerobic process declines from 101.998 to 77.724 after hydrolyzation. Maximum specific degradation rate K rises from 0.0024 to 0.00353.BOD5/CODcrincreases from 0.27-0.29 to 0.32-0.39.Secondly, two processes treated coal plant wastewater simultaneously: one is hydrolytic acidification - aerobic treatment (activated sludge method); another is hydrolytic acidification - aerobic process (dominant bacteria immobilized on acclimated activated sludge). The results indicated that their CODCr removed processes are first-order and second-order reaction respectively, and the biokinetic equations were described.Lastly, the removal experiment of NH3-N in coal plant wastewater was also done.
