Optimum design is one of the most important methods to reduce the fuel consumption and raise the efficiency of glass furnaces. Based on the understanding of the regenerator, the numeric module of the temperature field and the heat flow through the glass furnaces regenerator has been established and it's solving method has been work out on which the feasibility and the calculation of the valuation index of the effect of the heat.A regenerator of the glass furnace was simulated in the paper, in comparison, some other regenerators of different conditions were also simulated, and achieved lots of valuable conclusions.Based on above, the CAD software of the optimum design of regenerator of glass melting furnaces has been programmed with the database which reserve plenty of characteristics of regenerator. The comfortable, clear, consistent, friendly user interface has been designed to make the software more feasible.
