The applications of Nano-ST and surface engineering technology are introduced, especially in the electric power industry. Rapid solidification technology and the principle of electric explosion are described in this paper. WC-Co and Ti6Al4V coatings are prepared based on the electric explosion spraying. Such items as microhardness,bonding intensity and microstructure of the coatings are examined.The influence of experimental parameters on the bonding intensity is discussed and the size of crystal is analyzed.The fields of the coatings and substrate are numerical simulated with the help of the Ansys software.Finally,the operational experiment for the parts with the coatings in a power plant is studied. It shows that the electric explosion coating (WC-Co and Ti6Al4V coating) can improve remarkably the resistance wear of the parts. Moreover, WC-Co coating is better than Ti6Al4V coating. The resistance of wear of WC-Co coating is 3-7 times than the uncoating parts. For the Ti6Al4V coating, it is 2-3 times. WangXi-Xin(Thermal power engineering)Directed by prof.
