Phthalocyanine and its derivative have become a new and fascinating area of research in recent years . The research status and development of metal phthalocyanine and its derivative are reviewed in detail in this paper. The metal phthalocyanine and its derivative are a kind of material that have particular near infrared absortion , photoelectric transform , electromic , photo(electrical)condutor , nonlinear optics and physical property. In organic dye and function dye ,they have been obtained more and more attention by many investigators .By consulting numerous literature, a category soluble 4,41,411,4111-tetracarboxyphthalocyanine and two types of metal phthalocyanine derivative are synthesized, which have not been reported. The paper is consisted of four chapters.In the first chapter, the production, research status and development of metallic phthalocyanine coordinate compound and its derivation are reviewed in detail.In chapter two, Tetracarboxy metal phalocyaninato was synthesized and characterized by IR, UV, Fluorescent Spectrum. Their structures were verified. These effects of different coordinate complex on spectrum were studied in detail.In chapter three ,by the reacting of chlorosulfonated copper phthalocyanine with phenol, which has a active hydroxy proton , a new type of phthalocyanine derivative was synthesized. The products were characterized by means of FT-IR, UV-Vis, TG and elemental analysis. It was found that the derivatives have a similar colour to copper phthalocyanine. Besides, the solubility in some organic solvents and coacervation property were detennined.In chapter four, copper phthalocyanine polymethyl methacrylate was synthesized by ATRP polymeric reacting. By means of IR, UV-Vis, GPC, DSC, the product was analyzed and characterized. The method, which by the medium of free radical polymerization connecting copper phthalocyanine with macromolecule chain was discussed.
