| In the paper,Molybdenum nitride was synthesized by vapid-solid phase reaction. The effect of the temperature ramping rate,the gas flow rate and the final temperature on active material molybdenum nitride composition were studied,after that way,the electrode material was prepared. XRD was used to characterize samples Y -Mo2N prepared by temperature programmed reaction of MoO3 and NH3.The samples had different surface areas due to different synthesis conditions.The Y -Mo2N electrode exposed to 4.4mol/L H2SO4 is determined by cyclic voltammetry and almost mirror-image anodic and cathodic current-response profiles arise. The electrode has a capacitance of about 83F/g,and is electrochemically stable from -0.1 to 0.6V,above 0.6V or below -0.1V an electrochemical reaction occurred. Capacitance behaviour and reversibility of electrode were studied by CV and its voltage operating range is only 0.7V. The electrode exhibits good behavior and it had good faradaic capacitance performances. The results showed the addition of W and Mn to the Y -Mo2N not only widened the voltage window from 0.7V to 1.0V or 1.1V,but also improved the capacitance. As for molybedenum nitride electrode,its origin of capacitance,controlled factor of the surface process,mechanism of the electrochemical process is discussed effectively in this paper. |
