Study On Automatic Control System For The Myriametre Rail Gas Pressure Welding

Presently, the rail gas pressure welding control technique is uncultured; its automatic control level is so low and man-made factor is so serious that the welding quality is very unstable. It is important to research the key quality control technique and develop the automatic control system for the rail gas pressure welding in the field as soon as possible.On the basis of the characters of HG - II myriametre rail welder and thetechnological request of rail gas pressure welding in the field, a rail gas pressure- welding automatic control system has been successfully developed which usedthe FX2N- 80MT programmable logical controller as the central controller, andconsists of the heater swinging and centering equipment, the automatic hydraulicpressure switching equipment, the software and hardware for the mixed ratio andflux control between oxygen gas and acetylene gas, the software and hardwarefor the welding process control. The new control system has the control of heaterswinging latitude and frequency, the centering adjustment between heater andwelding seam, the automatic switch and adjustment of the welding hydraulicpressure, the program control and manual operation and wireless telecontrol ofthe mixed ratio and flux between oxygen gas and acetylene gas, the weldingtechnological parameter initialization and display, and many other functions. Itachieved the process control of the rail gas pressure welding, and the accuratetechnological parameter control (such as gas flux, hydraulic pressure, time, etc).It is proved that the new control system has good stability, high reliability, easy operability, convenient parameter adjustment. Using it can relieve the workmen of tire, avoid the man-made factors, and keep welding quality stable. So, it is of good popularization and application.
