The Radical Chain Extension And Ring Expansion Of 1,3-Diketones

Radical reaction is an important tool in organic synthesis because of its moderate reaction condition, good regioselectivity and stereoselectivity. It has attracted many chemists research interest. Radical ring expansion is a new strategy to synthesize the medium-sized and even large rings, nowadays, it is one of the important research fields of organic chemistry.In this thesis, we want to describe the new one-carbon chain extension and ring expansion of 1,3-diketones, which is the first report based on our knowledge. We have studied the regioselectivity of this new radical reaction and proposed the mechanism. Moreover, we explored the three-carbon radical chain extension and ring expansion.
