Study On Flexibilization Of BMC Materials And Its Injection Process

With many excellent properties and outstanding developing trend in the composite materials, the BMC materials is attended and applied universally. According to the ease fluidity of BMC the injection molding of BMC is studied, while the BMC products are conventionally rnanufactured by compression molding. The BMC products by injection molding have not only the exact size, glazed surface, and the good manufacture repeatability, but also the higher product efficiency, energy saving and environment protection as well, which means the favorable economical benefit and market foreground.Based on the characters of BMC injection molding, the Mowings are investigated1. The drawbacks of UP resin include low fracture extensibility and large brittleness. The rubber modifying UP resin is used to improve the toughness of the injection molding products in terms of the low mechanical properties especially the bad impact resistance.2. Based on the discussion of selecting raw materials, the material fluidity and low contractive mechanism, the initial viscosity rage and component of BMC used in injection molding are decided. The multiple initiating system enhances the cure velocity and efficiency of products by injection molding, and reduces the residual styrene of the products. Furthermore, The low shrink additive is filled to make the "A" surface finish.3. The raw materials, the component and the process parameters are regulated and optimized by analyzing the properties test results of the injection molding specimens. Then the approach to improve mechanical strength of infection molding products and surface finish is discussed in details.4. The injection molding parameters of the reflection lampshade (260mm X 110mm X 125mm) are selected and optimized on the light of numerical process tests. The reflection lampshade manufactured by the injection molding have been successfully manufactured in batch and applied in the automobile industry in China, which can also be spread in electric installation, decoration and so on.
