In order to improve the quality of product, save original material and increase the labor productivity, the elasticly shaped technology has been extensively adopted in industry production, so the function of mould is more and more important. In order to continuously increase the operating feature of mould , many organs of our country have been engaging the research work of new mould material and technics and made many fruits. Abroad , many new mould material and mould-made technics have been developed .The used life of mould in production is closely relative to the feature level, material quality ,fit use or not and the technics of heat treatment and so on .In machine-made industry , the moulds which are most extensively used are cold punching mould, hot forging mould ,pressure foundry mould. At present ,because of the development of new technics such as cold crushing precisely punching, precisely foundry, the elasticly shaped procession technics has been applied on the procession field of finished product from roughcast. This makes the precision of mould and the load be improved continuously .The anti-distortion capability of material becomes better and better because the machine-made materials extend to high temperature alloy steel from ordinary steel .This requires that mould should have higher intensity ,better wearable feature ,heat-resistant feature, and anti-fatigue feature. The application of pressure automation product line and the improvement of operation speed require that the mould should have a longer life. Confronting the present state of mould technology in our country, besides going on importing and developing high performance new mould steel species .we should pay more attention to develop its work condition, invalid mechanism and new processed technics .By rationally choosing and using mould material ,we can sufficiently exert the latent capability of mould steel.Additionally ,by market research, the writer perceived that many middle scaled and small-scaled enterprises werdn't able to systematically and completely renovate the mould production and invest advanced equipment such as plasma chemical heat-procession equipment for difficult economy. However, external co-operation procession would increase the cost and its quality is often unstable .So, a low cost , advanced, practical, feasible and efficient chemical heat-procession technic is given in this paper. I hope to explore some method and experience by the paper and be able to help mould enterprise to solve some practical problem.Research indicates that there many factors effecting mould life, but the primary factors are mould material and heat-procession technology. It is difficult for Heat-operation mould steel applied presently to have a feature of high heat intensity, wearable feature and also have high resistant of cold-heat fatigue and rupture. Whereas some steel can get differenttrait by different heat-procession technics. So, according to the operation condition of mould and choosing fit mould steel species a satisfying result can be gotten in the work that studieshow to improve the using life of mould.Comparing H13 steel with traditional 3Cr2W8v, it has higher high-temperature endurance and resistant of heat fatigue besides relatively high powerful thermal trait and heat rigidity trait. Moreover,H13 is cheaper for its bigger conducting-heat coefficient, smaller linear expansion coefficient ,lower quencher temperature and smaller density compared with 3Cr2W8v steel. The advantages of H13 make it have bigger internal latent capability than 3Cr2W8v during making heat-operation mould steel. So, in this paper,H13 is used as study object, its quencher and temper technics are studied too. The result indicated that by using twice-salted classification quencher H13 steel could get bigger impulsion endurable trait than once-salted classification quencher.
