Weight-calcium carbonate is widely used for its high quality and low price in many industries, like plastics, paint and papermakmg, etc. Weight-calcium carbonate used as the filler of plastic, not only reduce cost, but also increase some properties of plastic, such as optical, thermal and mechanical properties, mechanical property of which is the most important and basic.Superfming and surface modification is the way to enhance the mechanical property of filled plastic. In this paper weight-calcium carbonate is pulverized through mutual smash of particulates driven by the hypervelocity stream of jet mill, and coated with a monolayer of TTS moleculars under the effect of strong turbulence and mechanochemistry. It is revealed that weight-calcium carbonate filler produced by this so-called pulverizing and simultaneous modification technique with jet mill, can significantly enforce and entough filled plastic.
