Improving hydration resistance of calcia clinkers by sintering is studied in this paper. This paper has five parts, they are respectively material, the sintering of various CaCO3 the sintering of mixture of CaCO3 and Ca(OH)2 effect of mechanical activation on the sintering of CaO and the study of hydration kinetics of calcia clinkers.In the view of material, we measured the chemical composition > particle size and thermal weightlessness of material. We found the decomposition temperature of CaCO3 is effected by granularity, the smaller granularity, the lower decomposition temperature.In regard of the sintering of various CaCO3 and its mixture with Ca(OH)2 and effect of mechanical activation on the sintering of CaO, we study the sintering of various CaCO3 the effect of content of Ca(OH)2 content of nano CaCO3 and mechanical activation on the sintering of CaCO3. The experiment result shows that the light CaCO3 is easer sintered than others, the sintering performance of mixture of CaCO3 and Ca(OH)2 is better than those of pure CaCO3, and the optimizal content of Ca(OH)2 is 20%. On the basis of this, we append some nano CaCO3 in the mixture, the experiment show, when the content of nano CaCO3 is 6% , the sample has good sintered performance and hydration resistance performance. Furthermore, grinding time of mechanical activation has also some effects on the sintering of CaCO3. The longer grinding time, because of increasing of crystal lattice disfigurement caused by the mechanical strength and introduction of a few Fe, the better of sintered performance of samples.In the view of the study of hydration kinetics of calcia clinkers, we mainly studied the hydration kinetics model, the results show, the early time of hydration, the course is control by chemical reaction, the late time of hydration, hydration increase abruptly and have not rule.
