A study on the extraction of capsanthin together with other fine chemicals in Chilli was carried out. Chilli in China was used as raw material to extract the capsanthin, by using the solvent method combined with the supercritical carbon dioxide(SCCO2) techniques. It is of great value to accelerate the development of the economy, and it can also increase the annual income of the farmers.The thesis emphasis on the solvent method together with SCCO2 techniques to extract capsanthin using red pepper as raw materials. During the first phase, using dried red pepper as raw materials, many factors such as lixiviating solvent, the granularity of the peel in red pepper, solid-to-liquid rate, and extraction time was studied in detail. According to the experimental data, the optimum parameters of solvent method have been decided. The same way as solvent method, by carried out a lot of experiments including orthogonal experiments of capsicum resin, many factors and optimum parameters of SCCO2 technique have also been decided. Industrialization of capsanthin was based on the optimum parameter that had been got from the above technics. The costs of industrialization were also estimated here. To face the demand of capsanthin manufactory, whose products are using as semi-manufactured goods, SCCO2 technique is also used to refine the capsanthin.From the data of the above experiments, we come to conclusion that the optimum parameters of the solvent method are n-hexane is used as lixiviating solvent, the granularity of the peel in red pepper is 40-eye to 20-eye, solid-to-liquid rate selects 1 to 1.4, and extraction time is about 3 to 4 hours. The optimum parameters of SCCO2 technique are extraction pressure 30 MPa, extraction temperature 35癈, CO2 flux 20 L/h~30 L/h, load coefficient 0.6?.75, and extraction time 4-6 hours. The integral refine optimum parameters of SCCOa technique are also decided in the paper.As a production, capsanthin has been analyzed, and its quality accorded with Chinese criterion(GB 10783-1996).Wang Yuqi(Applied Chemistry) Directed by professor Chen Kaixun...
