High-speed cutting (HSC) have been widely applied in mechanical manufacturing, but investigation of high-speed cutting is also very hard and urgent problem. The simulation, experimental, theoretical research on surface profiles of high-speed milling are studied systematically in this thesis. The major research work is included as follows: Studies on geometric model of the high-speed milling were carried out. In this paper, the geometric model which was used to consider corner radius, feed per tooth, cutting speed, number of teeth and difference of height of tool nose was, developed. Studies on plastic flow which have influences on a machined surface were carried out. In this paper, a hypothesis that the profiles generated by plastic flow was triangle was developed, and a suggested algorithm considering plastic flow available for calculating the height of the triangle. Experimental studies on high-speed milling were carried out. The studies were made on the surface profiles of high speed milling by high speed milling 45# by cemented carbide tool. Studies on surface profiles of high-speed milling were carried out. The thorough investigation and studies were made on the influences, because of feed per tooth, cutting speed etc., on surface profiles of high-speed milling after studying the experimental data.
